Tesla has announced an update to the Model S Plaid, which from April 1, 2024, will now come standard with Sport Seats, enhancing the driving experience with performance and comfort. The Sport Seats, designed for the highest-performing sedan, feature track-inspired bolstering and increased lateral support perfect for high G cornering.

This move signifies Tesla's commitment to combining luxury with performance, as the Sport Seats maintain the uncompromised comfort Model S is known for, including 12-way power adjust, heating, and ventilation. Additionally, the seats are made with high-performance synthetic suede that is vegan, aligning with eco-friendly values.

Initially available in all-black and white/black interiors, Tesla plans to expand these options soon. With deliveries of Model S Plaid with Sport Seats starting in April 2024, Tesla reaffirms that customers seeking the standard configuration will now experience this upgrade, although a limited inventory of previous configurations may still be available.

For Tesla enthusiasts interested in retrofitting their Model S Plaid with Sport Seats after delivery, there's promising news: Tesla is planning for this upgrade option to be available in the future. Although it's not currently offered, Tesla assures customers that further information will be provided once the retrofitting option is launched.

The introduction of Sport Seats standard in the Model S Plaid is part of Tesla's broader initiative to enhance their vehicles constantly, offering cutting-edge features that redefine the standards of electric luxury sedans.
