Tesla has introduced an exciting update to its Model Y lineup with the launch of the new Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant. Priced at $44,990 before incentives, this model is positioned to make electric driving more accessible and extensive in reach.

Key Features of the New Model Y Long Range RWD:

  • Price: $44,990 base price, which drops to $37,490 after factoring in the Federal EV tax credit.

  • Extended Range: The new variant boasts a remarkable 320 miles of range, a significant improvement over the previous RWD Model Y's 260 miles.

  • Value Proposition: With only a $2,000 increase from the prior Model Y RWD’s starting price of $42,990, the Long Range RWD offers considerable additional value in terms of increased mileage and enhanced driving experience.

This strategic update follows Tesla's discontinuation of the earlier Model Y RWD, which offered a lower range. The introduction of this enhanced Long Range RWD Model Y aligns with Tesla’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle offerings, ensuring that customers have access to both high-performance and high-range EVs at competitive price points.
