Enel X Way, the electrification arm of the Enel Group and a Fortune 200 renewable energy leader, has unveiled plans to include the North American Charging Standard (NACS) as a connector option for its Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations in the U.S. and Canada. This move is designed to enhance the compatibility of its charging stations, with over 185,000 charge ports already sold in these regions.

The company will continue to provide charging products for Combined Charging System (CCS) and J1772 ports, reflecting its commitment to broad electric vehicle (EV) adoption. In line with its mission to simplify the EV charging experience, Enel X Way will also offer the NACS connector for its flagship product, the JuiceBox, and its DC fast chargers.

For customers with existing DC fast chargers from Enel X Way, retrofit kits to upgrade some of the current DC charging station models to include the NACS connector are also expected to be released. This strategic move aims to further the company's goal of supporting electrification for all types of transportation, and bolstering the customer experience with flexible and efficient charging solutions.
